Academic Advising Unit

Academic advising is one of the most important pillars upon which the quality of the educational process outputs at the university are built. The unit receives new students, guides them and introduces them to the college and its various departments, prepares them for study and university life, and guides them academically, psychologically, socially. The Academic Advising Service also provides guidance and support for students to overcome any academic or personal difficulties that may hinder the student's progress, as well as to develop students' abilities and potentials, thus enhancing their academic performance and supporting the academic standards of the College.

Vision

The Academic Advising Unit at the College of Business Administration aspires to be a model of excellence and innovation in providing academic and advisory services that create the appropriate academic atmosphere for the student, and contribute to raising his knowledge attainment.

Mission

Promoting the values of learning and discovering the skills possessed by  students through the optimal use of creative thinking abilities leading to the lofty goals of university education.

Objectives

Establishing cooperation relationships and interaction amid the student, the college, and the community.

Creating appropriate conditions to achieve the steady cognitive growth of the college students.

Building social relationships for the student with his colleagues and faculty members.

Building successful responses to the academic problems students face in different situations throughout their study.

Guiding students to the best method for preparing study plans and organizing the timetable for that

Encouraging outstanding students to achieve further and directing them towards investing their potentials in areas that suit their academic interests and inclinations.

Following-up students who falter academically and help them acquire the necessary skills to increase their educational attainment.

Spread awareness of academic regulations among students and work accordingly during the student's university career.

Activities

Holding various student meetings to discuss the problems and issues they encounter and provide solutions.

Providing orientation courses on academic life and how to succeed and integrate in college society.

Providing electronic communication with students and providing instructions in leaflets, and banners.

Enabling students to participate in seminars and workshops held by the college to achieve personal and social interaction and integrate them into the university academic environment .
