The College, represented by the Student Activities Unit, organized on Monday 17/11/1447 AH an event titled “Digital Currencies and Information Systems: Toward a Borderless Digital Economy”, presented by students of the Management Information Systems course under the supervision of Dr. Heba Allah Al‑Waishi, with the aim of keeping pace with rapid digital transformation and highlighting one of the most prominent contemporary financial and technological topics.

The students explained the concept of digital currencies, how they operate, and the fundamentals of blockchain technology, in addition to methods of secure storage through digital wallets. They also introduced the most widely traded global cryptocurrencies and discussed the role of information systems in supporting the digital economy. The event further addressed the economic impact of investing in digital currencies, along with opportunities and challenges in this evolving field. It concluded with interactive activities and awareness materials that enriched participants’ understanding.

The event emphasized the importance of technological and economic awareness in an era of accelerating digital transformation.
