The College (female campus), represented by the Community Service Committee and in collaboration with Al‑Hilwah Community Development Association, organized on Tuesday 18/11/1447 AH a training workshop titled “Financial Resource Development: Sustainability and Growth at Al‑Hilwah Community Development Association”. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Jihan Mohammed from the Accounting Department, with the participation of accounting students, via Microsoft Teams.

The workshop focused on strengthening financial sustainability within nonprofit organizations, emphasizing that relying on a single income source poses a risk to organizational continuity and requires a mindset shift toward diversifying resources and building strong donor relationships. It also addressed modern donor expectations, available funding opportunities, and key financing channels, including crowdfunding and national platforms such as Ehsan, Tabarru’, and Waqfi.

The session included practical applications in which students presented smart developmental initiative models tailored to the needs of Al‑Hilwah, along with global lessons in transparency, empowerment, and long‑term donor engagement.

The workshop concluded by highlighting the importance of implementing an actionable plan beginning with updating donor databases and designing visual proposals, affirming that resource development is the seed that ensures sustainable growth
