The workshop aimed to raise awareness among academic advisors and students about the importance of understanding the study plan for the Accounting Program, enabling them to provide effective guidance that supports proper academic planning, enhances student achievement, and reduces academic setbacks.
Key topics covered included identifying the zero level, the importance of registering foundational courses that serve as prerequisites for future ones, and clarifying the minimum and maximum credit hours based on the student’s GPA. The session also reviewed the conditions for enrolling in field training and Graduation Project (1), along with strategies for handling academic difficulties to ensure steady progress toward graduation.
The workshop concluded with recommendations emphasizing the need for continuous communication between advisors and students, and the importance of holding regular awareness meetings to improve the quality of academic advising and achieve the program’s objectives effectively.
