The college, represented by the Scientific Research Unit, organized a training workshop titled “Methods for Submitting a Research Paper to Peer-Reviewed Journals” on Monday, October 24, 2024, via ZOOM. The workshop targeted the college's faculty members, with 20 faculty members participating.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Shukri Abdel Majid Al-Zahri, Associate Professor in the Department of Finance. The workshop covered several topics, including the importance of correctly submitting research, the different methods of submission, and the necessary preparations for submission. A practical application on submitting a paper to a peer-reviewed journal was also provided, along with final recommendations.
The workshop began by explaining the importance of correctly submitting research to ensure its acceptance in peer-reviewed journals, highlighting the differences between submission methods and how to choose the most suitable method for each journal. It then addressed the necessary preparations for submission, including formatting the research paper, preparing the required files, and writing the cover letter.
In the practical part of the workshop, Dr. Shukri Abdel Majid Al-Zahri demonstrated the steps for submitting a paper through the journal's electronic system. The workshop concluded with recommendations for faculty members on how to improve their chances of having their research accepted in peer-reviewed journals.
