The College, represented by the Department of Accounting, organized an event on the occasion of World Accounting Day on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the College Theater, under the theme "A Profession that Builds Trust and Strengthens the Economy." The event was arranged by the Department’s Extracurricular Activities Unit in coordination with the College’s Student Activities Unit and the Diploma in Accounting and Taxation Unit at the Applied College, with the participation of faculty members and students of the department.

The program opened with a speech by the Head of the Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Askar, who welcomed the audience and emphasized the importance of the accounting profession in strengthening the national economy and building trust in institutions. He also highlighted the developments the profession is witnessing amid digital transformation and global economic changes.

The event included a seminar entitled "Accounting as a Profession of the Future: Understanding the Profession and Professional Certifications" presented by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Saqqaf, in which he discussed the career paths available to accounting graduates and reviewed prominent international professional certifications in accounting, as well as certifications offered by SOCPA, stressing their role in skill development and enhancing employment opportunities.

The program concluded with an interactive competition on accounting concepts led by Dr. Samhi Abdel-Aaty, where students engaged enthusiastically with the questions, reinforcing their understanding of accounting concepts in an enjoyable and interactive way.

The event was widely appreciated by attendees for its valuable content and motivational atmosphere, which enriched students’ understanding of the future of the accounting profession and the importance of continuous professional development.
