The Dean of the College, Dr. Badr bin Abdulaziz Al‑Tamimi, held a meeting with newly admitted students on Monday, 7/8/1447 AH. Dr. Al‑Tamimi opened the meeting by welcoming the students and congratulating them on their admission to the college, wishing them success and excellence in their academic journey.
He spoke about the responsibilities of university students, emphasizing the importance of diligence and hard work from the very beginning of their university studies. He highlighted the impact of this on improving the cumulative GPA, which serves as a key indicator of a student’s academic performance throughout their university years, urging students to pay close attention to it from the start.
Following that, the Vice Dean for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al‑Musallam Al‑Tamimi, presented an overview of the most important academic procedures. He explained the mechanisms of absence and deprivation and how they are calculated, in addition to clarifying the procedures for course or semester withdrawal, semester postponement, and the application process and deadlines for each.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean and the college’s vice deans expressed their commitment to supporting new students and enabling them to begin their university life with confidence. They affirmed that the college’s doors are open to answer inquiries and provide assistance throughout their academic journey. The meeting also emphasized the importance of adhering to regulations and making the most of the opportunities offered by the college to achieve excellence and success.
