The Women’s Campus, represented by the Student Activities Unit – Scouts Club, organized a special event titled “English in Action: Speak English with Confidence” on Wednesday, 30 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 AH. The event was prepared and presented by Dr. Yousra Al-Bukhari.
Dr. Yousra opened the session by sharing personal experiences from her journey in learning English, offering valuable lessons and practical tips for acquiring core language skills such as speaking, conversation, listening, and writing. Her insights served as motivation for students to enhance their language abilities.
The event featured two interactive activities aimed at strengthening students’ communication skills in English:
Role Playing Game: Students were divided into small groups and asked to act out real-life scenarios using English, based on prompts provided on cards.
Picture Storytelling: Students created stories using cards that contained sentences and questions about various places and objects, encouraging them to apply vocabulary and structures they had practiced creatively.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, who showed great excitement and engagement. This contributed significantly to building their self-confidence in speaking English.
