The college, represented by the Community Responsibility Unit and in collaboration with the Social Security Office in Hawtat Bani Tamim, organized a training workshop titled “Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management” on Monday, 24/11/1447 AH. The workshop aimed to enhance entrepreneurial awareness among Social Security beneficiaries and develop their skills in establishing and managing small businesses.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Sarah Mostafa, who discussed the concept of entrepreneurship, its economic and social importance, its key components, and the differences between entrepreneurship and small business management. She also highlighted types of entrepreneurship and the characteristics of a successful entrepreneur. Additionally, the workshop covered sources of business ideas, steps for transforming an idea into a viable investment opportunity, and strategic options for launching a business, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
Participants were introduced to operational planning, startup procedures, and inspiring success stories from global, Arab, and Saudi entrepreneurs to motivate them and strengthen their entrepreneurial mindset.
In conclusion, the organizing entities emphasized the importance of continuing training and awareness programs that empower beneficiaries and support their journey toward establishing small businesses that contribute to financial independence and community development.
