The College, represented by the Academic Advising Unit, organized on Wednesday, 8/10/1447 AH, a workshop titled “Designing Effective Exams and Their Academic Role in Supporting Students.” The workshop was delivered remotely by Dr. Mahmoud Magdy, with the participation of several faculty members.
The workshop covered the foundations of constructing high‑quality exams, types of questions and methods for formulating them clearly, and aligning assessments with targeted learning outcomes. It also addressed common mistakes in test design and highlighted the role of assessment in supporting and motivating student learning. Practical examples and discussions were presented to explore challenges faced by faculty members in preparing exams.
This workshop comes as part of the Academic Advising Unit’s efforts to develop faculty members’ skills and enhance the overall quality of the educational process.
