On Monday, 07/04/1447 AH, the College for Female Students, represented by the Guidance and Counseling Committee in collaboration with the Academic Advising Committee of the Accounting Department, organized an event titled Activating the “Advising Hour” Initiative, presented by Dr. Naseera Al-Taher.
The session began with an introduction to the initiative and its objectives, emphasizing its role in supporting students through academic, psychological, and social challenges during their university journey. Dr. Naseera announced the allocation of a flexible weekly hour during which students can visit the counseling office for personalized consultations based on their individual needs.
Students were also introduced to other available support services, including those offered by the Deanship of Student Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University. Notably, the virtual psychological and social clinic allows students to book appointments with specialists either in person or remotely, ensuring privacy and accessibility.
The event concluded with a set of recommendations encouraging students to benefit from the various initiatives and services provided by the Guidance Unit, and to seek help whenever needed—academically or personally—as a key factor in achieving balance and success. The initiative was well received, with active participation from students across different academic levels.
