The College for Female Students, represented by the Student Activities Unit, organized a lecture titled Fundamentals of Scientific Research Writing on Saturday, 05/04/1447 AH. The session was delivered by Dr. Hanan Saqr via Zoom, as part of the college’s efforts to support students’ academic development.
The lecture began with an introduction to scientific research and its objectives, followed by an explanation of the basic levels of research. Dr. Hanan then provided a detailed walkthrough of the research writing process—from the title and abstract, through the theoretical framework and methodology, to the recommendations and references. She presented the content in both Arabic and English to broaden students’ understanding and strengthen their bilingual academic writing skills.
At the end of the session, Dr. Hanan introduced a set of useful tools for research writing, including translation programs, grammar correction tools, and applications for reducing plagiarism through paraphrasing—tools that contribute to improving the quality of submitted research. The lecture was marked by active student participation and insightful questions, reflecting a deep understanding and a drive for creativity and innovation in academic research.
