The college, represented by the Extracurricular Activities Committee of the Accounting Department, organized a visit to the 10th Annual Internal Audit Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, 9/3/1444. The conference, held in Riyadh under the theme “Promising Horizon,” was organized by the Saudi Association of Internal Auditors. The visiting team included the Head of the Accounting Department, Dr. Mohammed Zaid Al-Askar, and a group of accounting students.
The purpose of this visit was to raise awareness among the department’s students about the main challenges facing the internal audit profession, to learn about the latest developments from the International Institute of Internal Auditors, and to understand the requirements of the job market. The participating students appreciated this initiative by attending sessions on topics such as the efficiency of audit committees, audit automation, artificial intelligence, environmental and social governance, corporate governance, modern global standards for internal auditing, cybersecurity and data protection, and combined assurance.
