The College (female campus), represented by the Alumni Unit in collaboration with the Accounting Department and the Co‑Curricular Activities Committee, organized on Thursday 28/10/1447 AH an awareness session titled “Introducing Professional Certifications Aligned with the College’s Academic Programs”. The session was delivered remotely by Dr. Jihan Mohammed with the aim of raising students’ awareness of the importance of connecting academic study with the professional skills required in the labor market.

The session explained the concept of professional certifications and their role in enhancing employability and professional distinction, highlighting the difference between academic degrees and professional credentials, and emphasizing their growing importance amid increasing competition and the shift toward skills‑based hiring in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The presentation also reviewed the most relevant certifications for the College’s majors, including the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) fellowship, the Certified Fraud Examiner credential, the VAT Specialist certification, and certifications related to IFRS and governmental accounting. It further covered key technical certifications linked to the MIS major such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, Power BI, PMP, and CISA, outlining the skills and career opportunities associated with each.

The session concluded by stressing that professional certifications provide a true competitive advantage, and that career success requires combining academic knowledge with practical skills, along with early planning, continuous development, and hands‑on experience.
