As part of its efforts to raise awareness of the extent of the impact of drugs and intoxicants on the individual and society, the Awareness Committee for Combating Smoking and Drugs at the College - female section, organized an awareness corner that summarizes and embodies the negative and serious effects that drugs leave on society, on Sunday, corresponding to 1/8/1445 AH, in the college courtyard, under the supervision of Ms. Al-Anoud Muhammad Al-Jadaan.
A number of students participated in the corner, and brochures and publications containing information, statistics and tips on the dangers of drugs and intoxicants and how to prevent and get rid of them were distributed, as well as displaying educational and awareness videos that highlight the health, psychological, social, economic and religious harms of drug use and addiction.
On the following day, the committee organized a program about addiction and its dangers, presented and prepared by students of the College of Business Administration, on Monday, corresponding to 2/8/1445 AH, at the college theater. The program addressed various topics about the causes leading to addiction and drug abuse, and the serious risks that affect individuals, families and communities alike, and how to deal with addicts and help them recover and rehabilitate.
The corner and the program were well received and interacted by the attendees from the students, and they expressed their thanks and appreciation to the committee for its efforts and initiatives in spreading awareness and health and preventive culture among members of society.
