The college, in cooperation with the College of Engineering in Al-Kharj, organized a training program for the staff of the municipality of Houta Bani Tamim, under the title: (Application of Safety Requirements in Buildings), on Wednesday, corresponding to 3/4/1445 AH.
The program was presented by Dr. Mohammed Amin, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering in Al-Kharj, and included a detailed explanation of the engineering and technical standards and specifications related to safety in buildings, and how to apply, monitor, and evaluate them.
The program also addressed important topics related to the prevention of hazards and accidents in buildings, such as fires, collapses, leaks, lightning, and earthquakes, which threaten the safety of lives and property, and how to deal with and confront them.
The program was attended and interacted with by the staff of the municipality of Houta Bani Tamim, who expressed their interest and appreciation for the topic, and asked some questions and contributions about the safety requirements in buildings, which Dr. Mohammed Amin answered clearly and usefully.
This workshop comes within the framework of the programs and activities organized by the college, represented by the Community Service Unit, with the aim of serving the community and contributing to the development of the public sector.
