The college, represented by the student activities unit, organized a visit to Saudi Aramco in the province of Hotat Bani Tamim, on Tuesday, corresponding to 1445/7/25 AH A number of college students from various disciplines participated in the visit, under the supervision of the dean of the college, Dr. Badr Al-Tamimi The visit included a field explanation of the oil well and how to extract oil and gas from the depths of the earth, and to learn about the equipment and machines used in the drilling, pumping and transportation process. A presentation was made on safety and prevention of risks and accidents at work sites, and the importance of following the procedures and instructions necessary to ensure the safety of workers and visitors. A presentation was also made on the history of Saudi Aramco and its role in developing the national and global economy, and introducing its vision, mission, values and goals, and the achievements it has made in the fields of research, innovation, development and sustainability. A presentation was made on petroleum engineering and the job and educational opportunities available for students in this field, and the skills and knowledge required to work in the oil and gas industry, and the challenges and problems they face and how to solve them. After finishing the presentations, the students were taken on a tour of Aramco’s facilities, from the workers’ housing and restaurants and stadiums and clubs, as well as the recreational places and the nature reserve that includes different types of animals and plants.
